GIS Specialist / Analyst

As part of this opportunity, the successful candidate will perform:

• Take a strategic view of managing and improving spatial information and platforms
• Develop capability across program areas in GIS practice so that better use of mapping can support
• Develop a framework for use of GIS, including standardising tools, techniques, meta data capture, and data management

Essentials for this role:

• Demonstrated experience in managing, maintaining, and organising a large amount of spatial data and an understanding of data integrity and quality control issues.
• Demonstrated experience in strategic and operational spatial information
• Ability to work independently and in a team to manage, improve and support organisation wide spatial platforms.
• Experience working in geographically distributed public sector organisations.
• 3 years plus experience in managing and using the ESRI suite of products. The core and commonly used tools are likely to include the following: ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcMap

Highly desirable to this role are:

• ESRI Portal and Open layer experience
• Experience working with GeoJSON and/or WKT formats
