GIS, CAD & Survey Monitoring Expert

Job Summary:

We at Speed Infra Developers seeking a highly skilled and versatile professional with expertise in GIS (Geographic Information Systems), AutoCAD, and Survey Team Monitoring to manage end-to-end spatial data management, mapping and field survey oversight. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting by ensuring accurate data integration and real-time survey coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

GIS Responsibilities:

• Create, maintain, and update spatial datasets using GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS, etc.).
• Analyze geographic data to support planning, development, and decision-making.
• Develop thematic and topographic maps for project visualization.
• Integrate of Total station/DGPS field data, satellite imagery, and survey outputs into GIS Platform & Autocad.
• Perform spatial analysis, land use studies, and terrain modeling.
• Analyze spatial relationships (e.g., distance, buffer zones, area coverage) from surveyed points.
• Cross-reference GIS layers with cadastral data, satellite imagery, or layout plans
• Validate coordinate precision and positional accuracy using ground control points (GCPs).
• Merge multiple survey datasets to create composite base maps and feature layers
• Perform spatial accuracy assessments by comparing known reference points vs surveyed data.
• Prepare base maps and control point layouts for use in DGPS/Total Station surveys.

CAD Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed Survey drawings in AutoCAD.
• Prepare and process survey data collected via Total Station, DGPS, drone or GPS instruments.
• Project Site layouts, Survey Boundaries, topographic maps, boundary plans, and infrastructure alignments using AutoCAD or Civil 3D.
• Ensure CAD drawings are geo-referenced or aligned with correct projection systems (e.g., WGS84, UTM 44N ).
• Collaborate with surveyors to process raw field data into CAD formats.
• Post-process DGPS or Total Station outputs for inclusion into project master plans.
• Convert GIS and survey data into accurate CAD drawings for design and construction teams.
• Conduct QA/QC checks on geometry precision, elevation values, coordinate alignment.
• Use control points and reference markers to validate field-to-CAD-to-GIS transition.

Survey Team Monitoring:

• Supervise and coordinate survey teams in the field.
• Review and validate survey data, including GPS, total station, and drone outputs.
• Ensure survey work is aligned with project scope, legal boundaries, and technical specifications.
• Maintain records of field activities, equipment use, and team performance.
• Liaise with planning, engineering, and construction departments for data integration.
• Organize and maintain GIS and CAD maps in a structured, project-specific manner for ease of access and version control.
• Ensure accurate integration of survey data (Total Station, DGPS) into digital mapping systems with correct projection and coordinate systems.
• Regularly update and archive mapping data as per project progress and field validations.
• Coordinate closely with survey teams, Legal Team and project managers/team heads to ensure seamless data flow and real-time updates.
• Perform any other tasks or responsibilities as assigned by Project Heads or Department Supervisors, ensuring timely and accurate execution in alignment with project goals.
