GIS Analyst

Garudalytics is seeking a skilled GIS Analyst to join our team in Mumbai. As a GIS Analyst, you'll be responsible for analyzing and interpreting geospatial data to inform business decisions. You'll work closely with stakeholders to develop and implement GIS solutions, leveraging your technical expertise and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and visualize geospatial data using GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS), Data Publishing

2. Map Creation: Develop maps, reports, and presentations to communicate findings.

3. Spatial Analysis: Conduct spatial analysis and modeling to identify trends and patterns.

4. Data Management: Manage and maintain geospatial databases.

5. Collaboration: Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and develop GIS solutions.

Requirements:

1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS/Civil Engineering/Urban Planning/Architecture/Science/Engineering or related field. And Master's Degree in Remote Sensing,GIS/Geoinformatics,Geomatics Engineering

2. Experience: 2 years of experience in GIS analysis.

3. Technical Skills:

- Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS,Google Earth Engine,Data Publishing etc).

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Experience with spatial databases (e.g., PostGIS).

4. Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Nice to Have:

1. Programming Skills: Experience with programming languages (e.g., Python, R).

2. Data Visualization: Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

3. Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
